An Engineer is a Programmer who writes and develops the code for our software and systems. Programmers write, test, debug, and maintain the instructions, that computers must follow to perform their functions. Programmers also design and test logical structures for solving problems in the systems. As a programmer, you could be collaborating with our team to develop scripts for our games, to make Bukkit plugins for our Minecraft server, Gearhex MC and to develop innovative and technical content for our own games that are currently in production. Web Programmers are also necessary to develop systems for our website. Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, C++ and C# are required.

An Audio Engineer creates, mixes and develops sound and music that will be used in various situations such as in-game audio or promotional material. As an Audio Engineer, your job is to collaborate with the team to design and compose or source the music that will be featured within our games or produce the sound effects to create an immersive expierence for the player or user. This can be in the form of a musical instrument, a digital synthesier, mixing pre-made tracks from a sound library, or creating Foley sound effects. Anything that the user hears is the job of the Sound Engineer.

Social Media Managers are in charge of representing Gearhex across social channels as the sole voice of the brand. They respond to comments, compile campaigns and create content. As a Social Media Manager, you will be posting on our social media pages such as Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and Discord to promote our products and services, provide updates/announcements to our followers and pointing customers in the right direction if they have a question or problem. In some cases, you will be providing some first-level support to our customers and followers. As a customer-focused role, you'll be expected to project a friendly and helpful attitude at all times, with attention to detail and with an expectation to follow branding and professional guidelines. A strong understanding of our brand is important, as well as the ability to use Social Media platforms confidently.

A Data Analyst is a general role in areas such as research and data analysis, helping to design, develop, and optimize our games to improve user experience and revenue by developing meaningful KPIs and metrics for our games and a deep understanding of user behavior through research. As a Data Analyst, you'll be researching. Providing and analyzing metrics on the performance of games and marketing campaigns, user-data from databases, payment yields and monetization flows, that help increase revenue. You'll develop and implement analytics processes and tools, best practices and new ideas. In collaboration with team, provide data on the in-game economy and provide insights that help improve it.

Video Editors are responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished video ready for broadcasting. This may include camera footage, screen captures, screenshots, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects. As a Video Editior, you'll be putting together video content for our marketing material, or editing clips that will play within our products, services or website. Technical and creative skills are required, particularly within well-known and industry standard video editing softwares such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects, etc. Knowledge of video file formats, compression and resolution is desirable. You may also be tasked to be capture the footage for the content by recording with a video camera or screen capture software and screenshots. A video editor plays a key part in Gearhex success as in an online world, video is a powerful way to present a message to an audience.

A Photographer is the role responsible for capturing digital images for production assets, textures and research purposes. As a Photographer, you'll be taking photos of various objects, surfaces and environments to be used as visual elements to our website and other services, collaborating with our Artists to provide textures for 2D and 3D assets. And using a camera to take photos of locations and objects that will be used as inspiration to spring ideas to the Game Designers and Artists when they create their concept and production assets. Having a strong grasp of photography techniques is desirable. A good quality, professional digital camera may be required for the best results. In some cases, you may be tasked to capture video, screencaptures or screenrecordings.

A Localisation Tester, or Translator's job is to convert elements from one language to another. These could be things such as the games story, its characters, the dialogue and everything in the game world. They also localize the marketing content that comes with them, such as websites, marketplace descriptions and even the packaging text. As a Localisation Tester or Translator, you will not only be translating the content for our games and services, but finding the best ways to allow the audience to understand and communicate with the product, considering a users' language, location and culture. You'll be translating all text and audio into another language, so the ability to read and write in one or more languages proficiently is a very desirable skill. Cocering multiple languages expands our audience, and appeals to a wider userbase.

A Web Developer is a programmer who specialises in web applications and services. They create websites and webpages for various different situations such as information websites, interactive web services and more. As a Web Developer, you'll be creating and maintaining our website and other services that are web-based such as the webpages for our games and our advanced web-based systems such as our Help Center, Forums and Staff Intranet. Knowledge of web programming languages such as HTML, CSS, PHP and Javascript are essential for creating content for our web-based services and applications. In some cases, you may also design visual elements for the website such as images and layout, and advanced backend server administration.

A Manager is a senior member of our Studios team who oversees the entire organisation. A manager is in charge of a team of people, is responsible to make executive decisions, to recruit new team members, or to micro-manage departments. They will also be planning, directing, creating schedules, spreadsheets, organising meetings, and handling the advanced top-level administration duties. At Gearhex, anyone can be assigned as a Project Manager for a specific project. But it takes an organised, professional individual to accomplish this with success. Certain managers will be responsible for recruiting new members to our team and maintaining a productive workforce.

A Business Development Director is responsible for driving a company’s business and increasing its revenue, identifying and developing new business opportunities and building and expanding the presence of the company and its brands. As a Business Development Director, you'll manage the company and its legal attributes, establishing our brand and expanding into new ventures for Gearhex. This includes effectively communicating with customers, business partners, colleagues and staff, maintaining a smooth operation. You'll be ensuring Gearhex is able to stay afloat with the financial responsibilities to monetise and make a profit.
